Rev. Stephen E. Browning - Associate Pastor
Educational accomplishment includes a M.Ed. degree in Counseling/Human Relation; Bachelor Degree in Sociology / Nonprofit Administration; Certificate in Biblical Counseling - American Assoc. of Christian Counselors and a Bible College certification program leading to a Pastoral Ordination.
Has professionally worked with child and family well-being projects and services for close to thirty years. Current employment is as Director of Foster Care Services for Christian Family Care Agency. Previous experiences have included residential treatment counselor, group home parent and manager for at-risk adolescent boys; a campus supervisor for a children’s residential treatment center; leading community initiative and collaborative projects specifically with volunteerism and state faith initiative; directing foster care/adoptions contracts; and fathers & family advocacy. Years of experiences have also included board development, local/national workshop presentations, grant development, and program leadership for several non-profit community, faith and child/family service agencies.
Currently serving as a board member of SonRise Faith Community Center; Arizona Interfaith Coalition on Foster Children and Families; advisory board of PASSAGES transition coalition and Fathers & Families Coalition of America. Professional interest and passions include biblical teaching, youth mentoring, advocating for special needs children and strengthening families specifically the role of the father.
Life Goal: To be a catalyst for the restoration of Healthy Parenting, Family Life and related Social Policy, via sound Teaching, Consultation, & Leadership.
